





John MaranoCoaching Experience: John Marano is currently the Assistant Coach of the C2C Elite U13 Black team, the Head Coach of the Hebron Hawks 7th/8th grade team and 5th/6th grade team, and the Assistant Coach of the Frisco 5th/6th Championship team. John has spent countless hours coaching at the youth and high school levels. He coached high school as the Head Coach of Plano West Varsity team in 2009, Offensive Coordinator for St. Mark's for two years, and Head Coach for McCallum High School Varsity in Austin, Texas. John's coached numerous youth teams for Hebron Lacrosse since 2010, for Plano West Lacrosse and Frisco Lacrosse since 2009, for C2C since 2008, and for Castle Hills lacrosse since 2006.
Playing Expreience: John grew up on Long Island, NY and has been playing lacrosse for more than 30 years. John continues to play lacrosse competitively and has recently received All Vail Honors for facing off and MVP of the Ashville Lacrosse Tournament!
Leadership Experience: John Marano is the Founder and "C2C" Coach of Coast-2-Coast Lacrosse, which is a lacrosse academy here in Dallas with over 400 students athletes. He is a co-founder of the Hebron Hawks Lacrosse Association, and a co-founder of the Castle Hills Lacrosse Club. His love of teaching and his ability to inspire others have brought much success to a number of teams and individuals across the country. Founding C2C has enabled him to truly grow the game of lacrosse…the right way.
Alex PooleCoaching Experience: Alex Poole is currently the Head Coach of the C2C Elite 2014 Black team and the Head Coach of the Coppell High School Varsity team. He has coached at Greenhill School, Episcopal School of Dallas, and Southern Methodist University where he helped deliver a top 25 MCL finish. US Lacrosse named Alex the National Youth Coach of the Year in 2008.
Playing Experience: Coach Alex Poole played his high school lacrosse at St. Paul's in Baltimore, Maryland and college lacrosse at the University of Maryland where he was known as "the locker room coach" and a true leader of the team.
Leadership Experience: Alex has inspired youth as a coach with Lonestar and as a founding partner of Coast 2 Coast. He is known for his passion for the game, his organizational skills both on and off the field and for an ability to promote excellence in player development and to foster player and parent enjoyment of the game through his leadership.
Chris Van DornCoaching Experience: Chris Van Dorn is currently the Head Coach of the C2C Elite 2015 Black team and the Assistant Coach of the Highland Park D1 Varsity team since 2005. During that time at HP, the Scots have won three DI Texas State Championships in '08, '09, and '10, and were nationally ranked, #20 by Laxpower and #18 by Inside Lacrosse magazine, in 2009. The Scots are the first TX team ever to be ranked in the Top 25 nationally. In 2004 he was the Head JV Coach at Highland Park. In 2003 Chris was the Head Varsity Coach of then Division I Clear Lake High School.
Playing Experience: played at William Floyd High School on Long Island, NY, where he was a 4-year letterman, 4-year starter and a two-year captain on varsity. As a senior, Chris was the MVP of the team and an All League midfielder. Chris was recruited to schools such as Yale, Dartmouth, Colgate, Hamilton, Notre Dame and many others. He decided to play at Dartmouth, a highly competitive Division I school, and was a 4-year letterman that graduated in 1996 with a B.A Government.
Leadership Experience: Chris is a founding partner of Coast 2 Coast.
Kevin BarnicleCoaching Experience: Kevin Barnicle is currently the Head Coach of the C2C Elite U15 Blue team, Assistant Coach of the C2C Elite 2015 Black team, and the Head Coach of the Greenhill School Varsity team. Previously, he was the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach and Program Director at the Episcopal School of Dallas. In his six years at ESD, the Eagles lacrosse team has been named three-time, Division I, Texas High School State Champion Runners-Up, was honored as the Division I, North District Coach of the Year in 2006, and in 2007, the Eagles were named Texas High School Division I State Champions. For the first time in ESD's history, the men's lacrosse team won first in SPC for 2008. The 2008 team also finished first runner-up in the Texas High School Division I State Championship. Kevin began his coaching after college, where he spent a year abroad, coaching boy’s and girl’s lacrosse at the prestigious Charterhouse School in Surrey, England. On returning to the states, Kevin spent 3 years coaching at the Division III level at Hartwick College in New York and his Alma Mata, Springfield College. He has spent his summers coaching youth lacrosse players throughout the country at camps such as, Peak Performance, Player’s Choice, the Hartwick JV Shootout.
Playing Experience: Kevin Barnicle began his lacrosse career in Simsbury, CT, where he was a four year starter at close defense at Simsbury High School as well as a captain in his senior year. He was recruited to play lacrosse at Springfield College in Massachusetts, a perennial Division III powerhouse. While at Springfield, Barnicle earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and was a four year starter at close defense for the Pride. In his senior year at Springfield, he was named captain, 1st team All-NEWMAC, and asked to play in the 1999 Division III North-South All-Star game in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Max BartigCoaching Experience: Max Bartig is currently Assistant Coach of the C2C Elite U15 Blue team and coach at St. Mark's School of Texas.
Playing Experience: Max played for ten-time national champions, Syracuse University, the most of any team in NCAA Division I history. He played on both the 2008 and 2009 national championship teams. Max began his lacrosse career at East Northport, NY where he was team captain as a senior, an Under Armour All-American, and all-county selection in his senior season. Max was named all-league and selected as the Tigers’ offensive MVP as a junior.
Zack ColburnCoaching Experience: Zack Colburn is currently Head Coach of the C2C Elite U15 Black team and Head Coach of Allen Eagles Varsity team. Zack is a US Lacrosse Hall of Famer from New Jersey where he was an assistant coach for Rutgers University. Zach has worked with MVP Lacrosse Camp for the past three years. MVP Lacrosse Camp runs clinics for players and coaches from the youth level thru high school and provides college recruit consulting. Zach’s lacrosse coaching experience has spanned the full range from the youth teams of Collegeville, PA, to the middle school and high school level at Perkiomen Valley, PA, to the college ranks with DIII Swarthmore College and DI University of Pennsylvania and Rutgers University.
Playing Experience: Zach earned All-State honors in high school while playing at Wilton High School in Connecticut. Wilton won the state championship during Zach’s junior and senior years. At the University of Pennsylvania he was named All-Ivy, All American, and Team Captain. Zach then played at the post collegiate men’s club level with perennial Philadelphia Lacrosse Association power house, Eagle’s Eye, and MAB Philadelphia. In 1995, Zach received the Krongard Award which is the highest award that a United States Club Lacrosse Association player can receive. This award recognizes outstanding play and sportsmanship at the club level over many years of play. Zach played on three US National Teams en route to three World Championships in 1990, 1994, and 1998.
Leadership Experience: Zack Colburn is Director of College Recruiting at Coast 2 Coast. He was inducted into the University of Pennsylvania Hall of Fame in 1994, the Philadelphia Lacrosse Association Hall of Fame in 1999, and the US National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2002.
Mike Cook
Coaching Experience: Mike Cook is currently Assistant Coach of the C2C Elite U11 Black team and Head Coach of the Plano West 3rd/4th Black team. Previous C2C experience includes coaching the U9 Texas Bandits in their inaugural year. Prior to Plano West, Mike coached for, and served on the Board of, the Plano Wranglers. He began coaching youth teams in 2007.
Playing Experience: Mike started playing youth lacrosse in New Canaan, Connecticut. As he grew into the sport, he began to focus on Long Stick Middie, and Defense. Mike moved to Plano, Texas midway through high school, in 1987, where he continued to play the sport with the Dallas Boardwalk Men's team (as there were no youth programs available at the time), and later founded the Stephen F. Austin Lacrosse Club. Mike continues to play today for the Plano Men's team.
Gary DeSerranoCoaching Experience: Gary "Gar" DeSerrano is currently Head Coach of the C2C Elite 2014 Blue team and Head Coach of the Plano West Varsity team. "Coach Gar" , as his players call him, began his coaching with youth teams in Coppell and Plano in 2003. In recent years, he was head coach of the 7th/8th Plano Wrangler Black teams in 2008 and 2009 playing in the Championship Division of lacrosse in the Dallas area.He has also coached Lonestar teams (U13 and U15), Team Texas (U15), and Coast-2-Coast Lacrosse Academy at various age levels including the High School level in 2009. And in the summer of 2011, Gary was an assistant with Team Dallas, an elite recruiting team which competes in the Brine Shootout in Baltimore. Coach Gar has over 25 years lacrosse experience.
Playing Experience: Gary DeSerrano graduated from the University of Texas, where he played attack for 4 years. His UT lacrosse team won the SWC championship in 1987. As a senior he led the team in scoring with 73 points (30 goals and 43 assists). In addition to coaching, Gary has continued playing lacrosse after college, including five championship seasons with the Dallas Lacrosse Club. He currently plays with the Adidas Magic Wands, winners of the Super Masters Division at the 2009 and 2011 Vail Shoot-out.
Neal DiBelloCoaching Experience: Neal DiBello is currently Head Coach of the C2C Elite U13 Blue team, Southlake 7th/8th grade Championship team, and Southlake 5th/6th grade Championship teams. Over the past four years, Neal DiBello coached teams at every age level from 1st grade to Varsity in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. During that time, Coach DiBello provided individual instruction to boys and girls goalies across Dallas-Fort Worth. In 2010 Coach DiBello helped lead the Southlake 5th/6th grade team to the semifinals in just their first year in the NTYLL Championship Division. In 2011 Coach DiBello coached St. Mark’s 3rd/4th grade team to a winning record, instructed the state powerhouse Hockaday girls goalies, and lead the C2C Elite U15 travel team to a Southern Sizzle Tournament Division Championship in North Carolina. That team also qualified for two National Elite Tournaments as a result of their summer tournament success.
Playing Experience: Neal DiBello played goalie for Princeton University. While at Princeton he enjoyed three Division I National Championships in 1996, 1997, and 1998. Neal played under Bill Tierney, Hall of Fame and six-time Division I Championship Coach and current head coach at University of Denver.
Paul DiBello
Jason GildeaCoaching Experience: Jason Gildea is currently Assistant Coach of the C2C Elite U13 Blue team, Assistant Coach / Defensive Coordinator of the SMU Men's Lacrosse team, and Head Coach of the Frisco 5th/6th grade Championship team. In 2011 Jason coached the C2C Elite U11 Black team and the Frisco 5th/6th grade Championship team to the quarterfinals of the NTYLL City Championship. Recently, Jason and his wife, Desiree, founded the Frisco Lacrosse Asscociation in Frisco, TX, where they have over 350 boys and girls participating in the non-profit youth organization. Jason has a wealth of experience in both coaching and playing the game. He is the winner of the 2012 Positive Coaching Alliance's Doubble-Goal Award.
Playing Experience: Jason grew up playing for Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA and was recruited to play for Roanoke College, a nationally recognized NCAA Division III program on the east coast that went to the National Championship during his freshman year (1992). He played long stick midfield and close defense for the Maroons and was an All-American candidate both his junior and senior year and captain of the team as a senior (1995). Jason was also a four year NCAA soccer player, earning all conference his junior and senior years while captaining the team. After he graduated from Roanoke College, he went on to play for the Capital Lacrosse Club in Washington, D.C. for a number of years which eventually became the foundation for the MLL. He had the great opportunity to play against Team Canada and Team USA while playing for the Capital Lacrosse Club.
